Fragrant, creamy white flowers on tidy grey mounds.
Nyewoods Cream has lovely, creamy flowers in early summer which spike out of the dome of foliage at every angle and carry a wonderful perfume; worth growing for the smell alone. The flowers blush to pink just before they fade. A neat plant for any sunny rockery or edging a brick wall. 7cm (3") high
Everyone seems to be abandoning many of these older varieties in favour of heavily promoted newer varieties but 'Nyewoods Cream' and many others like it are still very good garden plants - they have a more delicate, subtle charm about them in contrast to some new 'Look-at-me' varieties. And none can match the fragrance of 'Nyewoods Cream'.
Named after 'Nyewoods', the garden of a famous plantsperson.
