Dwarf, prostrate and evergreen shrub for rock garden.
A small, low and slow-growing form of the common garden shrub. An evergreen with small, glossy leaves carried on bright red stems. It will track its way over rocks or paving and add some interest in winter when much else is dormant.
It will occasionally produce little pink flowers in summer and maybe red berries in autumn too but its green leaves and attractive shapes offer enough.
Its little red stems would make an attractive 'almost bonsai' feature in a container, crawling over the edge or over a stone. Only 5cm (2") tall, slowly spreading. Adapts well to careful pruning if required - in fact, it can behard pruned if needed.
A very popular plant with garden designers but we don't produce large quanties of this plant, so please don't ask!
