Geranium dalmaticum

Slowly spreading mats of glossy leaves with a citrus smell when crushed push up short, erect stems on which rest the lovely pink flowers. The foliage often takes on red tones in autumn. A lovely and easy plant for any sunny site in reasonable soil. About 12cm (5") high.

Another of my favourite plants - it's not rare, it doesn't have super-sized blooms etc., - it's just nice. An it has an Award of Garden Merit so it should do well with you.

An old nursery catalogue tells me it was introduced in the late 1940s from the garden of the King of Bulgaria. Good enough for royalty .....
