The brightest, most stunning colour of any plant we grow - the colour really is intense and as always, the camera doesn't quite catch it. It flowers from May into June and will grab attention wherever it is planted. It's a neat grower, small enough for a stone trough. About 7cm (3") high at most.
Listed as P.caespitosa but just like a P. douglasii to me and can be treated and grown as such. For reference, 'Zigeunerblut' is at the rear of the 3 pots shown ('Crackerjack' front left, 'Ochsenblut' on the right).
Most nurseries charge a bit extra for this but it's no more difficult for us to grow, so we charge the same as most of our Phlox.
