A beautiful plant from late spring 'til late autumn. The shoots emerge from ground level in spring and slowly swell and extend. They are clothed in fleshy, blue-green leaves, often tinged red at the edges.
The flowers appear later in summer and last well into autumn - large heads of starry, rose-pink flowers that darken with age - an end of summer treat for the bees.
A lovely, easy, adaptable plant that only asks for sunshine and a well-drained soil. About 7 to 10cm (3" or 4") high. Small enough for trailing over the edge of a trough but robust enough for the rockery too.
