A handsome and easy form of this popular European Primula with heads of soft lavender flowers in spring. Highly scented. The leaves develop an attractive coating of silvery grey flour (farina) if the plants are kept from the rain - moving the plants (assuming pot-grown) to a cool greenhouse or cold frame was the tradition for a super spring display.
However, this is hardy plant that will do well in the garden too and is ideal for planting in stone trough etc. About 12cm (5") high when flowering.
Very similar to 'Prichard's Variety' which we also grow.
