A pretty cobweb type with dense white hairs in the centre of the rosettes surrounded by dark red leaves in spring.

Pronounced 'Vark-stook' I guess it looks like Quark ( German soft cheese/curd) from the dense white hairs. Quarkstück = pieces of soft cheese? An adorable plant though.
