Gentiana acaulis

Huge trumpet flowers in that classic Gentian blue. These are seed-raised plants so some variation is possible but all will be a rich blue and with those beautiful markings in the throat of the trumpets.

These like a slightly richer soil, not starved, and with plenty of grit added for good drainage. Full sun. About 5 to 7cm high (2" to 3") and will slowly build into a solid clump of evergreen leaves.
