Forms tight, congested mats of small, hard, glossy green leaves, red-tinged outside of the summer months. Despite its minute size it grows well and is very robust.
'Giftzwerg' - translates as Poison Dwarf which we'll have to assume is a term of endearment in German as it's a lovely wee plant. Although it rarely flowers which may explain the 'poison'. [Edit June 2023 - and we have a flower! So much for my theories ...]
