Westerlin

Nice, solid clumps with broad leaves, 'Westerlin' overwinters in a dark red colour that brightens up with new growth in spring, suffused green. Medium/large in size.

The origin of this pretty variety is unclear although it is popular and more common in the USA than the UK or Europe. We like it!

Breeder unknown but named by Helen E. Payne (USA) in 1974
